Facilities at Milton Ernest Village Hall
Village Hall Facilities
The main hall has a stage and can cater for up to 100 seated at tables or 140 in a less formal setting. There is a sound system with a hearing loop, a projector and 2.5m screen.
The well equipped kitchen has direct access to the hall, and a useful hatch.
Though there is no exclusive disabled toilet, there is one cubicle in both the ladies and gents toilets which has been modified to make them more accessible. The toilets have been recently fitted with sensor lights and automatic water taps.
The village hall has served the residents over the years in many ways, from special occasions, weddings, and parties, to clubs, coffee mornings, children’s school activities and as a polling station for elections. It is also recognised by the Bedfordshire Resilience Team as a dedicated place of safety in the event of a local emergency.
The village hall is a charity and managed by a dedicated group of Trustee volunteers who have given time and energy over the decades, to maintain the hall to the high standard we have today. The village defibrillator is housed on the outside wall and is maintained by one of the hall’s trustees.
