This policy applies to all users and activities in Milton Ernest Village Hall. It is in place to protect all children and vulnerable adults regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability, sexuality, religion or faith.
The welfare of children and vulnerable adults is the responsibility of everyone, and all children and adults have the right to protection from abuse whether physical, verbal, sexual, bullying, exclusion or neglect.
Everyone associated with the village hall and its use have a responsibility for the safeguarding of all children and adults. No child or vulnerable adult should be left unsupervised with an adult unless that person is in possession of appropriate DBA clearance. This applies to all users of the hall, including the village school.
The responsibility to ensure the safety of any child and vulnerable adult involved in activities in the hall rests with the hirer. Acceptance of this safeguarding policy is part of the agreed contract taken out on hiring the hall.
Alcohol must not be sold or given to those under the age of 18 and no child is to be admitted to any film show if they are below the age classification for the Film.
No gambling or entertainment of an adult or sexual nature is permitted on the premises.
